Business: Digital lending startup Roostify raised $32 million in a Series C round led by Ten Coves Capital. The San Francisco-based company plans to use the funding to invest in artificial intelligence to make the home buying and financing process more efficient.

Crunchbase News chats with Fearless Fund, an Atlanta-based seed and early stage investor focused on technology across the consumer packaged goods, fashion and beauty industries. Co-founded by entrepreneur and philanthropist Arian Simone, actress Keshia Knight Pulliam and business executive Ayana Parsons, the fund backs entrepreneurs who are women of color.

Digital metabolic health business Calibrate raised $22.5 million in Series A funding led by Emily Melton of Threshold Ventures. The New York-based startup offers a year-long metabolic reset that combines FDA-approved prescription medication with behavior therapy and video coaching.

Seattle-based Parse Biosciences (formerly Split Biosciences), a startup developing a single cell sequencing kit that doesn’t require custom instrumentation, closed on $7 million in a Series A round led by Bioeconomy Capital.
