Ease secures $41M for benefits software

Softwares : Benefits software developer Ease raised $41 million in a Series C round led by Spectrum Equity. Founded in 2012, San Francisco-based Ease develops software that small and medium-sized businesses use to offer health, life and medical benefits to their employees.

Seed-stage investor MaC Venture Capital closed on $103 million for its inaugural fund. The Los Angeles- and Palo Alto-based firm plans to invest in 40 seed-stage companies across the globe, targeting $1 million for each initial investment.

Fanatics, the Jacksonville-based licensed sports merchandise retailer, has reportedly raised $320 million in fresh funding at a $12.8 billion valuation. In other news, London-based crypto wallet provider Blockchain.com pulled in $300 million in a Series C round at a $5.2 billion valuation.
